Gustible - under the rubric of [$_SELF]

I completed a research paper on the knowledge management aspects of software industrialisation last year.

I strongly believe that democracy is not the optimum way of choosing a government. No – I do not have a viable alternative, but the evidence suggests that there should be a better way of determining who is fit to govern.

Distressingly, I have hardly blogged at all during the past few weeks (months?). Time to catch up – and present you with the City of Warsaw’s Palace of Science and Culture.

I have had a very busy two months – traveling, learning, and dealing with new responsibilities.

I have just returned from yet another two day trip to an unusual destination. This time it was Siberia – to be more precise, the city of Novosibirsk, or “New Siberia”.

Just after nine o’clock last night, Lindy and I remarked to each other that we can smell yet another veld-fire. Just before one we were woken up by the sirens, and the strong smell of smoke.

I visited China for the first time during the first week of March, 2009. It was a very short, business related trip but I managed to see a tiny part of Shenzhen. These are my impressions.

Ever since, I have imagined that I would live forever. One day the technology would arrive to let me go far far beyond three score and whatever. One day I would not be mortal, one day I will hold the universe in the palm of my virtual hand.
